Make it Monday- The Molly Jacket by Violette Field Threads

Make it Monday!  My favorite day (not of the work week let's not get crazy)  Y'all I made a jacket.  This might be one of the best patterns I have followed yet.  Its good!  and it fits without alterations.  Plus hello....cute pockets. The pattern is by Violette Field Threads, Molly Jacket. I own several of their patterns and plan on making one of their dresses for Parker's Christmas dress.  The Piper

The jacket is made of a light weight corduroy I picked up at Hobby Lobby.  I used the coordinating cotton for the inside.  The jacket is meant to be reversible.  I chose not to add pockets to the inside and added the button to the front.  I used medium weight Heat N Bond interfacing on the entire thing.  I wanted to add some structure and the interfacing adds a bit of warmth I think.  I've used several prints from this line and I really like it for Fall clothes.  The whole jacket I think cost $10 to make and that's being generous.  Her pants have always been an issue because of size.  Since learning how to sew it has made life so much easier.  These are a 5t! and I hemmed them about 5 inches.  LOL!

I already miss Summer (photo heavy)

I just recently went through and backed up my cell phone photos and realized man this summer was fantastic.  What made it so fantastic was the weather.  I loathe the east coast humidity with a flipping PASSION.  This year was just so strange and cool for a Maryland summer.  I didn't take many photos with my camera, but a ton with my cell.  Same for you?  Here are some from our little weekend trip to Bethany Beach.

RAWR! Glitter Dust Frames & Thermoweb

Welllllllllllll I thought I was done with Halloween and nope.  ONE LAST PROJECT! LOL  I created this for Thermoweb using the new Glitter Dust Deco Frames.  They come in all kinds of colors and shapes and are in stores now.  I used them to highlight my circle embellishments.  I really would love a full sheet of this glitter paper (adhesive back) it's really a great weight. The paper collection is Bella Blvd's Trick or Treat

Make it Monday with Dear Stella & The Sally dress

Hey y'all!  Happy Monday.  I have another sewing project to share.  This week I used the Sally Dress by Very Shannon and I added sleeves from the Brownie Goose Cricket pattern.  I also added the double ruffle to the front of the bodice because Parker likes them.  This dress has super big pockets and is what Parker calls a twirly twirl pretty dress LOL!  The fabric is by Dear Stella its the Carousel collection.   Parker loved her horses so much that I picked it up in Pink and Dear Stella has other colors coming out any minute!
