I made a dress + Sew Coordinated Kits

Everyone, I sewed on fabric and DID NOT DIE.  Yes, it's true.  My machine was pretty pissed off I am not gonna lie.  It's been a solely paper operations around here for a long time.  I've been wanting to try and sew since basically having Parker.  I haven't had the time, the energy to figure out fabrics and things like that.  Then I stumbled into a fabric group on Facebook and man was I HOOKED.  A spin off to the group is a Fabric Kit Club called Sew Coordinated (more info below). The dress above (pattern by Simplicity S0613) was made with their July Kit.  The fabrics were just too much and I got some notions that I would never buy on my own since I haven't a clue what they are for HA!

Now I am used to photographing still objects (layouts, cards etc)  Toddlers..and toddlers cooperating, wow.  So these photos seriously tell you the story of the day!  She was NOT having it.  She loved the dress. Honestly she did.

See?

Oh Horses. Look Mommy.

Bungee cords!  The only smile I got was for a BUNGEE CORD.

So with all that said I am pretty thrilled with how it came out.  You can't see it close thank god, but for my first time it's a big win.

This is the August kit for Sew Coordinated.  She has all the information you need on her facebook page, how to sign up.shipping etc.  Plus examples made with the kits.  Stop by and check her out.
