That's what I am going to call my adventure into "Project Life" I've admired the concept since it came to be however the thought of documenting my weekly life seems redundant. I use Instagram CONSTANTLY. Follow me HERE. So to put those photos again into weekly updates ...my gawh. Then I had Parker and I have a billion photos I take that I will never, ever scrapbook. So instead of putting them into photo albums I decided to go ahead and do Project Life, Project REAL Life. I bought a core kit and put all those photos from her first year and cards no embellishments just journaling into an album. I didn't take photos well because it's boring. It's extremely basic. The basic core of what Project Life is.
So now that her first year is done I feel I can venture out into whatever else I want to do. There is no weekly update, roundup whatever you want to call it. I am going to stick to putting pictures in from events, little moments here and there that I want to make sure I print out. So here are some pages I just created this past week.
So there you have it. Anyone else feel the same way? I feel I am the last to jump on the bandwagon.
Oh. My. There's nothing basic about those pages, nice job. I do PL too and it's even more basic than yours. Used o take pics, but really, like you said, boring.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did for your project life! The first year was difficult for me as I felt like it was BORING printing pictures and doing it what I saw as a certain way...now on year three it has become something else. Documenting my everyday or week is not such a chore. it is what it is, if I don't take a picture that day or document that particular day it's OKAY! I've embrace the fact that it is what it is and not perfect, I don't do really any extras I save those for my pages and I like it that way! And the bonus for me is that my kids and hubby are now into saving items and taking pictures because really it's for all of us. The BIGGEST bonus is when they pull it out and look at weeks past--total TREASURE!
